22 Advantages and Disadvantages of Technology in Education The modern classroom has taken several steps forward in its evolution of the learning environment in the past 25 years. Many of the benefits that we have seen in this setting are due to the introduction of new technology options for students. To that end we have identified ten experience based Hallmarks of 21st Century Teaching and Learning that can be used as touchstones in the educator s pedagogical approach to teaching and learning.
