Network functions and presentations provide opportunities for professional development and the sharing of resources and ideas about good learning and teaching practice. So in 2012 with support from the Mellon Foundation one of us who as Higgins School director led the DD project asked the other Diana Walsh to join with a third Susanne Moser in convening The 2013 symposium recognized the complexities of healthcare which included the intellectual scientific economic and social aspects. The sessions explored the expanding scientific basis of personalized medicine explored drug targets and development and considered the impact of education aging chronic conditions and immunology on the evolution of healthcare.
