Non-verbal communication is used to show emotions like happiness anger sadness interest curiosity hurt annoyance anxiety embarrassment pleasure hope etc. People show these emotions unconsciously most of the times. They express their empathy through non-verbal communication too. A central strand of contemporary research on emotions is the study of nonverbal expressions. Mixture means the thing which contains two or more different substances in any ratio such as the seawater granite and gasoline The mixtures can be classified according to their homogeneity into two types which are homogeneous solutions and heterogeneous colloids and suspensions . Types of Mixtures There are two main categories of mixtures homogeneous mixtures and heterogeneous mixtures. In a homogenous mixture all the substances are evenly distributed throughout the mixture salt water air blood . In a heterogeneous mixture the substances are not evenly distributed chocolate chip cookies pizza rocks by Ron Kurtus 15 September 2005 A mixture is the blending of two or more dissimilar substances that do not chemically combine to form compounds and that can typically be separated by non-chemical means. The types of mixtures are discussed below. What is a Heterogeneous Mixture A mixture of sand mixed with salt is an example of a heterogeneous mixture. Heterogeneous mixtures possess different properties and compositions in various parts i.e. the properties are not uniform throughout the mixture. Examples of Heterogeneous mixtures air The three general types of mixtures in chemistry are solutions suspensions and colloids. All mixtures contain at least two different substances and can be liquids gases or solids. Solutions are the simplest mixture consisting of two substances that interact and have reasonably small particle sizes. Mixtures have variable compositions while compounds have a fixed definite formula. When mixed individual substances keep their properties in a mixture while if they form a compound their properties can change. The following table shows the main properties of the three families of mixtures and examples of the three types of mixture. I designed these slides for a HS Chemistry class for a properties of matter unit. The lecture followed a paper chromatography lab investigating 3 unknown mixtures of FD C food dyes. Check out the 3 videos within the lecture to reinforce how mixtures can be separated physically and the negative effects of food dyes on human health. In chemistry a mixture forms when two or more substances are combined such that each substance retains its own chemical identity. Chemical bonds between the components are neither broken nor formed. Note that even though the chemical properties of the components haven t changed a mixture may exhibit new physical properties like boiling point and melting point. You can separate them by physical methods. Examples include a solution of salt and water a mixture of sugar and water different gases air etc. In any mixture the various components do not combine through any kind of chemical changes. Therefore the components do not lose their individual properties. What is solution

A transit of Mercury across the Sun takes place when the planet Mercury passes directly between the Sun and a superior planet becoming visible against and hence obscuring a small portion of the solar disk.During a transit Mercury appears as a tiny black dot moving across the disk of the Sun. Transits of Mercury with respect to Earth are much more frequent than transits of Venus with about He has taken a leading role in the science and history of transits of Mercury and Venus as an analogue to exoplanet studies leading up to the transit of Venus and the 2016 and 2019 transits of Mercury.
